Who we are
WhereTo is a group planning service that lets people vote on where to go. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@senolab.info.
What we collect
WhereTo is built to keep planning simple and to avoid collecting anything we do not need. Depending on how you use the service, we store:
- Account details — your name, email address, password hash, profile avatar, and basic account settings.
- Community and event content — community names, members, invitations, event names, posters, options, links, deadlines, notes, ratings, and final decisions.
- Participation data — the votes, skips, event ratings, and payment-status updates submitted by participants. Vote results are shown as totals, not as a public list of who voted for what.
- Money-planning data — optional budgets, who should receive money, expected amounts, and whether a participant marked money as sent or an organizer confirmed it as received. WhereTo does not process, hold, or transfer money.
- Uploads — avatars, community images, and event posters if you choose to upload them.
- Technical logs — our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically.
We do not collect contact lists, location data, or device identifiers, and we do not use analytics trackers or advertising networks.
Cookies and local storage
WhereTo sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We use session cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your event access, and keep interface choices such as open event tabs. Clearing your browser data may sign you out or remove local event access.
How your data is used
We use your data solely to operate WhereTo: accounts, communities, invitations, event dashboards, voting, live results, notes, uploads, ratings, and payment-status tracking. Event links and invitation links should be shared only with the intended people. We never sell data and we do not share data with third parties for advertising.
Email notifications
WhereTo may send account, invitation, event, and payment-reminder emails when an organizer invites someone or updates payment details. Email delivery depends on standard mail systems and is not guaranteed.
WhereTo Pro purchases
If you buy WhereTo Pro, the checkout is operated by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy — WhereTo never receives or stores your card details. On our side we store only your license key, its activation status, and your Pro expiry date, linked to your account. To prevent abuse of the free first-plan trial, we also store a one-way hash of the network address used at sign-up; the address itself is never stored.
Where it is stored
Plan data is stored on our own servers in Europe and is not processed by third-party data platforms. The only exception is payment processing by Lemon Squeezy, described above.
Retention and deletion
Communities and events remain available so your group can refer back to them. You can delete your account from your profile. Organizers can delete communities and events inside the app. You can also request deletion or correction by emailing us with the relevant account email or event/community link.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Include the account email, event link, or community link that identifies the data you mean.
Children
WhereTo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
