Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026
The service
WhereTo lets groups plan events, vote on options, track simple payment status, and settle on a decision. Joining and voting are free for everyone. Hosting is free with the limits described on the pricing section, and organizers can purchase WhereTo Pro for the full toolkit. Features may change as the service evolves.
Using WhereTo
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
- Event and invitation links are for the intended group only. Organizers are responsible for sharing them carefully and approving people who should join.
- If you create an event, you act as its organizer. You can add or remove a co-host, manage event details, confirm payment status, and delete the event.
- You agree not to use WhereTo for unlawful content or activity, spam, harassment, or attempts to disrupt the service.
- We may remove accounts, communities, events, uploads, or content that violate these terms.
Your content
Names, avatars, community details, event posters, options, links, notes, ratings, and other content submitted by users remain yours. By submitting them you grant us the limited right to store and display them inside WhereTo to the relevant account holders, community members, invitees, and event participants. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Money between participants
WhereTo can track budgets, expected amounts, who should receive money, and whether a participant marked money as sent or an organizer confirmed it as received. WhereTo never holds, transfers, or processes money. Payments happen directly between participants using their own bank, cash, or payment services, at their own responsibility.
WhereTo Pro — purchases, subscriptions and refunds
WhereTo Pro is a paid upgrade for organizers: cost splitting, automatic payment reminders, and larger groups on every plan you host. Every account's first hosted plan includes the full Pro toolkit at no charge.
- Payment processing. Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record — they process your payment, issue your invoice, and collect applicable VAT or sales tax, which is included in the displayed price. WhereTo never receives or stores your card details. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy apply to the checkout.
- License keys. After purchase you receive a license key by email. One key activates Pro on one WhereTo account. Keys must not be resold or shared.
- Subscriptions. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime via the link in your receipt email — Pro remains active until the end of the paid period, and nothing is charged after that. The lifetime plan is a one-time payment with no renewal.
- Refunds. If a purchase didn't work as expected, contact support within 14 days of purchase and we will make it right, including a refund where appropriate. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
- Prices. Prices are listed in NOK and may be shown in your local currency at checkout. We may change prices for new purchases; changes never affect an already-paid period.
Accounts and invitations
You are responsible for keeping your account email and password secure. Invitations should be sent only to people you intend to include. Community and event organizers should remove members or delete events when access is no longer appropriate.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, missed bookings, or decisions your group makes. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms or discontinue the service; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. If you disagree with a change, stop using the service.
