1 · Create your plan in the app or on the web
Create your free account, name the occasion, add the options (type them, or paste links — a restaurant page, an Airbnb, a venue), and set a voting deadline. Your plan is saved in your event overview, so you can come back from any device.
2 · Share one link with your group
Paste it into WhatsApp, Messenger, Teams — wherever your group already talks. Everyone who opens the link sees the same live plan: the ideas, the votes, who the group is still waiting for, and which days work. Any member can add ideas too.
3 · One vote each — the deadline decides
Each person has one vote — tap another idea and the vote moves. When the deadline arrives, the most-voted idea becomes the decision automatically and everyone is told. The organizer can extend the deadline or reopen voting when plans change.

- Secure checkout. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record — card and other local methods, with prices shown in your own currency at checkout. Your card details never touch WhereTo's servers.
- License key by email. Right after checkout you receive a personal license key in your receipt email.
- Unlock in seconds. Sign in, open your profile, paste the key under "WhereTo Pro" — done. Every plan you host now has the full toolkit.

Do my friends need the app or an account?
The app will be the main WhereTo experience, but friends can still open an event link on the website when they just need to vote or check a result. Creating an account keeps events, profile settings, avatars, and invitations in one place.
Will there be a real app?
Yes. The product direction is a real mobile app, starting with Apple, with the website staying as the companion page for shared links, early access, and people joining from any device.
How does the voting work?
One vote per person. Tap the idea you want; tap another and your vote moves there. When the deadline passes, the most-voted idea wins automatically and everyone is told. The organizer can also lock a decision early, or reopen voting if plans change.
What if nobody responds?
WhereTo does the chasing for you: people who turned on notifications get a reminder before voting closes, and the plan page offers a ready-made reminder message you can paste in the chat. The plan always shows who the group is still waiting for.
Can I use it for work — a team dinner or company event?
Absolutely. It works well for colleagues because the organizer can use the app-focused event overview while guests can still open the shared link from a team channel and vote from the web.
How does the money part work?
WhereTo never touches money — it only keeps score. You pick who covered the bill (their share settles automatically), split the total evenly or set each person's own amount, and everyone sees exactly what to send and to whom. People mark "I've paid", the payer confirms, and WhereTo gently reminds anyone unpaid every few days so nobody has to ask.
What does it cost?
Joining, voting, deciding, day-finding, notes, and photos are free — for everyone, always. Your first hosted plan includes the full toolkit free. After that, hosting stays free for groups up to 5, and WhereTo Pro (29 NOK/month, 199 NOK/year, or 399 NOK once) adds cost splitting, automatic payment reminders, and groups up to 40. People who join your plans never pay anything.
How do payments for Pro work?
Checkout and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record — a secure, widely used platform for software purchases. You pay by card (prices are shown in your local currency at checkout, VAT included) and receive a license key by email, which you paste into your WhereTo profile to unlock Pro. WhereTo never sees or stores your card details.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from the link in your receipt email — you keep Pro until the end of the paid period, and nothing renews after that. If something went wrong with a purchase, write to support within 14 days and we'll sort it out.
What data do you collect?
Only what is needed to run the app: account details, invitations, events, options, votes, notes, ratings, uploads, and optional payment-status details. No contact-list upload, no advertising tracking, and WhereTo never touches your group's money.
