Delete your WhereTo account
Last updated: 7 August 2026
This page applies to WhereTo — the Android app (info.senolab.whereto), the iOS app, and the web app at senolab.info/whereto. All three use one account.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open WhereTo and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Type your password to confirm.
The deletion happens straight away — there is no waiting period and no reactivation. On the web the steps are the same: open senolab.info/whereto, go to your profile, and choose Delete account.
If you cannot sign in, or no longer have the app
Email support@senolab.info from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete the account. We reply to confirm it is really you, and complete the deletion within 30 days of that confirmation — in practice within a few days.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and password.
- Your profile picture, including the image file on our server.
- Your WhereTo Pro record — licence key and expiry date.
- Your notifications, your community memberships, and every invitation you sent or received.
- Any community you created, and with it the membership of everyone else in that community. Unlike a plan, a community is not passed on to another member — if you want it to survive, ask someone else to create it before you delete your account.
- Every plan you organise that has no co-host, together with everything inside it: its options, votes, notes, photos, availability and money-tracking rows.
- Your identity inside every other plan. Your name is replaced with “Former member”, and the device access token for that plan is revoked, so nothing that still holds it can act as you.
- Your name on any note you wrote, which is also replaced with “Former member”.
What stays, and why
- Plans you organise that have a co-host. Rather than deleting a plan the rest of the group is still using, we hand it to the co-host, who becomes the organiser. Your personal details are removed from it as described above.
- Group content in plans you joined. The options that were suggested, the text of notes, and photos on a plan's wall belong to that group's shared record and stay with it. They are no longer linked to you or shown under your name.
- Web server access logs. Our server keeps standard logs (network address, time, page requested) to defend against abuse. They rotate automatically and are deleted after 14 days.
- Purchase records held by the store. If you bought WhereTo Pro, the transaction itself belongs to whoever processed it — Google Play, the App Store, or Lemon Squeezy — and they keep it for accounting and tax reasons under their own policies. WhereTo deletes its own copy with your account.
Cancel a subscription first
Deleting your WhereTo account does not cancel a WhereTo Pro subscription, because we do not control the billing — the store does. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions or Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions before deleting your account, or you will keep being charged.
Deleting one plan instead
If you only want a single plan gone rather than your whole account, open it, choose Manage, and use Delete plan. Only the organiser can do this, and it removes the plan for everyone.
